Antologi dan Teori Angka


Beberapa hari yang lalu, teman-teman Paksi telah berpeluang mendengar pembentangan sebuah teori ― semacam teori baru yang digubal khusus untuk pengajaran sains dan matematik lewat karya kreatif. Dalam konteks mengilmukan manusia, Dinsman yang dikenali ramai dan kadang kala dibenci oleh sesetengah pihak kerana “Macam Orang Gila” berpendapat bahawa angka bukan saja menjadi milik pakar matematik seperti Alinor atau usahawan wanita yang gigih seperti Ainon, tapi angka juga berkesan sebagai inspirasi kepada anak-anak muda yang sering naik ke pentas deklamasi seperti Amni Jagat dan Benz Ali. Menurut Dinsman, 'angka menggugah minda.’

Kata Dinsman lagi, teori baru tentang angka dalam sastera membuktikan dengan jelas bahawa angka itu bukan lagi menjadi milik ekslusif para pemain saham atau juru songlap tapi juga sasterawan. Angka bukan saja untuk dirasakan debaran naik turun graf bursa saham, angka bukan sekadar untuk mengukur kembung atau kempisnya dompet, tapi angka juga baik untuk dijadikan senjata berbisa buat menghumban UMNO.

Dinsman telah memilih sajak yang ke-34, “PPSMI dalam angka” hasil karya Hasni Abas. Puisi ini antara lain membawa maksud PPSMInya yang begini:

Out of the amount, the government paid a whopping RM2.21 billion for the purchase of information and computer technology (ICT) equipment which it is unable to give a breakdown. Govt paid more than RM6k per notebook vs per market price of less than RM3k through some new consortiums that set-up just to transact the notebook deal. There was no math & science content for the teachers and the notebooks are all with the teachers' children now.

Kata Dinsman, dalam puisi di atas terdapat angka-angka keramat 3.2 bilion, 2.21 bilion, 6k dan 3k. Menurut aktivis teater yang telah mengangkat dan menteaterkan penderitaan Kaab Malik tatkala berkata benar, sang deklamator bolehlah melaung-laung bahagian-bahagian tertentu angkanya atau pun nilainya.

Itulah bayangan saya tatkala membaca angka-angka yang dipaparkan oleh pembaca ini. Angka-angka yang menghaguskan jiwa raga kita.

Alangkah baiknya jika duit yang telah hangus itu digunakan untuk keperluan mendesak rakyat; misalnya untuk para pengidap kencing manis yang menunggu berjam-jam menanti gilirannya mendapatkan khidmat mesin pencuci darahnya.
